2019 IAC Directors’ Meeting

The annual Industrial Assessment Centers’ Directors’ Meeting took place in Chicago from July 17th through July 19th. The IAC Directors’ Meeting is an opportunity for all the directors, assistant directors, and faculty to exchange best practices, energy efficiency, and training tactics.

The first day started with an introduction led by the Rutgers Field Management Team and Department of Energy. The directors were then able to have a one on one networking session to become more acquainted with the other directors and assistant directors.

The following day focused on new, progressive energy efficiency research. There were talks on smart manufacturing, Blockchain, and Microgrids. The center of the year was also awarded to Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. To end the day the Women for Energy Efficiency Advisory Board talked to the directors about equity in the IAC program.

The last day of the Directors’ Meeting consisted of updating the directors and assistant directors on changes to the program and general field management updates. The annual directors’ meeting allows for the advancement of the IAC program and progression of energy efficiency for industrial plants.
