2019 IAC Field Management Site Visits

As a part of our role as Technical Field Managers for the US Department of Energy’s Industrial Assessment Center (IAC) Program, the Rutgers Center for Advanced Energy Systems (CAES) team periodically visits the 31 centers within the IAC Program.

On these visits, the CAES team observes an industrial assessment performed by the center they are visiting from start to finish. They also give feedback to the centers’ management team, get to know the lead and other students within the center, and tour the centers’ operational headquarters.

These site visits by the CAES team help to ensure that the centers are able, equipped, and performing their required assessments and following all required methodologies on the IAC assessment process. They also allow us to connect face-to-face with the students and directors that makeup the IAC program and give us the opportunity to explore some pretty cool manufacturing facilities!

In 2019, the CAES team visited five centers within the IAC program. Photos from these visits can be found below. We look forward to visiting more IAC Program centers in the future!

In March 2019, the CAES team visited the Texas A&M University Industrial Assessment Center in College Station, Texas.

In May 2019, the CAES team visited the Intermountain Industrial Assessment Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

In June 2019, the CAES team visited the Clemson University Industrial Assessment Center in Clemson, South Carolina.

In October 2019, the CAES team visited the University of Nebraska – Lincoln Industrial Assessment Center in Lincoln, Nebraska.

In November 2019, the CAES team visited the Georgia Institute of Technology Industrial Assessment Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
